Recap: 4/10/13
-I would like to thank LWD member Linda Pulik for sharing with us an amazing project she has been working on for the past three years through her company Bao Design Lab in partnership with Technology 4 Tomorrow in Uganda.
With help from the Sappi Ideas that Matter Grant, Linda and her partner have developed a system and design that will help women in Uganda distribute the correct dosage of medicine to their children. Not only will this system help children get the nessisary dosage of medicine they need it also has the potential to empower the mothers and the women of Uganda as potential entrepreneurs of this system as they can take to local hospitals and help educate the local mothers at the hospitals.
Hopefully soon I can add photos to the blog of this product but it has potential to be truly life saving and life changing. We had a energetic design design charrette helping Linda problem solve some aspects of the construction and she is narrowing in on the final prototype of the carrying case.
